South Tech Academy provides an opportunity for high school students to train for a career in the Marine Engine and Service Industry.

Purpose and Instruction

We train each student to industry standards and certify their mechanical skills, through  multi-dimensional training in the classroom, shop  laboratory and work site.

The program focuses on broad, transferable skills and stresses understanding and demonstration of the following: maintenance and repair of basic four stroke cycle engines and two stroke engines; repair of electrical systems, repair of fuel systems, use of marine woods, metal and  fiberglass, adjustment and repair of trailers.

  • Adjust and repair trailers

We offer employment assistance through our Job Placement Coordinator.
