PURPOSE AND INSTRUCTION

A plan of instruction has been developed to combine college prep academics with a wide variety of industry-related computer information technology skills.

After receiving a basic foundation in information technology, students will select a specialty track in Networking or Web Design. Our curriculum focuses on Microsoft software applications and operating systems, repairing and diagnosing hardware and software problems, programming, networking systems, web design, and cartoon animation. The curriculum is designed to prepare students for industry certifications such as A+, Net+, CCENT, CCNA, MOUS, and Webmaster.

In the past few years South Tech Academy Information Technology students have taken 1st place at the SkillsUSAFlorida state competition in Web Design and Intemetworking. We also have 13 CompTIA IT Merit Award winners.

EARNING POWER

Graduates are currently employed at Palm Beach County School District, Bellsouth, Best Buy, Circuit City, Comcast, CompUSA, FPL, Office Depot, and Staples, as well as three IT graduates who are business owners.

All you have  to do is make sure you meet our qualifications and complete an application for enrollment.  Students must have a grade point  average (GPA) of at least 2.0, acceptable discipline records, and a good attendance history.
