Tiffany Ross was born on December 29, 1980 in Fort Myers, Florida. When she was two years old, her parents moved to Riviera Beach. Tiffany is one of four children and has two sisters and one brother. Along with her parents and siblings, family has always been a very significant part of influencing her life.
Tiffany was a part of the Academy of Finance at William T. Dwyer High School and graduated in 1999. From there she furthered her education at the University of Central Florida in Orlando, initially majoring in Accounting, but ended up with Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration in 2003. After college, Tiffany moved back to Palm Beach County and worked for Bank of America for four years. The positions she held at the bank included Teller, Teller Coordinator, and Personal Banker.
In August 13, 2006, Tiffany gave birth to a beautiful baby boy named Bobby Gilbert III, also known as Tre J. She was given the opportunity to take a year off to be a stay-at-home mom and raise her son. During that year she contemplated her career goals and wanted to find a career that would allow her more time with her son. Both of Tiffany’s parents are educators and her father always discouraged her from being a teacher, but it seemed like the most logical solution. She has always had a good rapport with children and admired the teaching profession and the impact her parents made in the community.
Tiffany came to South Tech in 2008 as a substitute and is now an ESE and regular education math teacher. She believes teaching has always been her calling. Tiffany feels right at home at South Tech because the vision of the school is something she strives for in her classroom each day, which is “Creating Success Stories, One Student at a Time.”
